Brenda Armfield Street Parade – Terms & Conditions
The Brenda Armfield Street Parade is conducted by Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc as part of Casino Beef Week.
By submitting an entry, all participants acknowledge and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.
1. Event Details
• Event: Brenda Armfield Street Parade
• Date: Saturday 30 May 2026
• Location: Walker Street and Casino CBD, Casino
• Parade Commences: Approximately 1:30pm
• Organiser: Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc
2. Eligibility to Enter
Entries are open to businesses, schools, community groups, sporting clubs, individuals, registered vehicles, horse riders, floats and community organisations.
Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc reserves the right to accept, reject or limit entries in any category at its sole discretion.
3. Minors
Participants under eighteen (18) years of age must be supervised by a parent, legal guardian or responsible adult at all times.
The supervising adult accepts full responsibility for the minor’s conduct, safety and participation.
4. Entry Closing Date
All registrations must be received by 20 May 2026 unless otherwise extended by the Organiser.
Late entries may be refused.
5. Theme & Presentation
Entrants are encouraged to align displays, costumes and decorations with the official Brenda’s Beef Week Theme.
The Organiser may refuse any entry considered offensive, unsafe, inappropriate or inconsistent with the community nature of the event.
6. Signage
Each float or entry must be clearly identifiable by visible signage displaying the business, school, organisation or participant name.
All entrants must also clearly display their allocated marshalling number prior to arrival.
7. Vehicles, Floats & Drivers
All participating vehicles must:
• Be currently registered or hold a valid permit
• Comply with applicable road transport laws
• Be roadworthy and safe
• Be appropriately insured
• Be operated by a licensed driver
• Travel at walking pace only during the parade
All floats must be enclosed, secure and designed to minimise risk of injury.
No person may ride on any float, trailer or vehicle in an unsafe manner.
Drivers must produce a valid driver licence upon request.
8. Horses & Animals
Owners or handlers of horses and animals are fully responsible for their control, behaviour, welfare and any injury or damage caused.
Animals displaying unsafe or aggressive behaviour may be removed immediately.
9. Insurance
Where applicable, entrants must hold adequate Public Liability Insurance and provide proof upon request.
Participation may be refused where suitable insurance cannot be demonstrated.
10. Conduct & Safety
The following are strictly prohibited:
• Dangerous, reckless or negligent behaviour
• Speeding or unsafe driving
• Alcohol consumption before or whilst participating in the procession
• Drug affected participation
• Offensive behaviour or language
• Throwing, spraying, handing out or distributing any item from a moving vehicle, including water
• Excessive use of horns or sirens (except emergencies)
• Failure to follow marshal directions
• Any act creating risk to spectators or participants
Any entrant breaching these conditions may be removed immediately.
11. Float Content
The display, promotion, marketing or sale of political, protest-related, offensive or contentious material is not permitted.
Applications for floats deemed political or protest-related may be refused.
The decision of Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc is final.
12. Marshalling
Marshalling will take place in Walker Street, commencing from the area in front of NSW Police Force.
Entrants must follow all instructions relating to parking, lineup order and parade movement.
13. Parade Route
All entries must follow the official parade route as directed by organisers and marshals.
Early U-turns or leaving the route early are not permitted unless authorised or in an emergency.
14. Compliance With Directions
All entrants must comply immediately with directions from:
• Event marshals
• Traffic controllers
• Police
• Emergency services
• Authorised representatives of Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc
15. Assumption of Risk
Participation is entirely at the entrant’s own risk.
Entrants acknowledge participation in a public event involving vehicles, animals, floats, crowds and movement carries inherent risk.
16. Release of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc, its committee members, volunteers, employees, contractors, sponsors and representatives accept no responsibility or liability for:
• Injury or death
• Damage to vehicles, floats or property
• Theft or loss
• Harm caused to spectators, participants or third parties
• Animal incidents
• Mechanical failure
• Delays, cancellations or disruptions
• Any incident occurring before, during or after the parade
17. Indemnity
Entrants indemnify and hold harmless Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc against any claim, demand, action, liability, damage, cost or expense arising from their participation.
18. Cancellation / Changes
The Organiser may cancel, postpone, alter the route, modify timings or amend event conditions at any time due to weather, safety, government direction or operational reasons.
19. Photography & Media Consent
Entrants consent to photographs, video and media recordings being taken and used by Casino Beef Week Promotions Committee Inc for promotional, archival, media and marketing purposes without payment and for an indefinite period.
20. Judging
Where prizes or awards apply, judging will be anonymous where practical. Judges’ decisions are final.
21. Acceptance
By submitting an entry form, attending marshalling, or participating in the parade, entrants confirm they have read, understood and accepted these Terms & Conditions.
